Signal is an E2E Encryption (End to End) messagenger, it uses zero knowledge Encryption.
This allows it's users to communicate privately, and securely.
Signal doesn't save messages to anywhere but the users devices, it is entirely free and relies on donations.
Threema:
Threema is also E2E Encrypted, But unlike signal it is not free, To use threema you must purchase a license key.
Threema uses threema ids to get in contact with people, these can be revoked without having the device.
To remove access when a device has been breached. Messages are also stored on the device Encrypted.
Whatever solution you choose to use to communicate with me, you will be secure and can rest assured knowing privacy exists.
Leaving social media, this is what I needed to value most, making sure mine and other peoples data will not go to greedy corporations.
